Who can have implants?

There are very few contraindications for implant insertion, thanks to what almost everybody who comes to our clinic, and is generally healthy can undergo this kind of treatment. Almost everybody who lost one or more teeth (also those who lost all of them) can have a lot of benefits with this kind of therapy. This treatment will INCREASE THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE. How does the operation look like?

It is a very gentle and precise procedure performed in local anesthesia. During the procedure and right after it the patient does not have any unpleasant sensations, however, some people may experience local pain as well as swelling of local soft tissues.

Can you chew normally with the implant teeth, like with your natural ones?

Certainly, chewing is just like with you natural teeth.

Do the implants grow into the bone naturally?

Yes, a lot of studies prove that Alpha-Bio implants meet all kind of international standards and ensure the process of biological osteointegration (growing into the bone).

Will it be necessary to walk around with visible “metal pegs” in your mouth after the implant insertion?

No, definitely not, after the procedure the implants are covered with gum and you may use your previous prosthesis or we can make temporary prosthesis for you.

Lack of single tooth

One implant and a crown placed over it allow avoiding of damage of local teeth (polishing) – it is not necessary to use a bridge.

Lack of molar teeth

The implants allow avoiding of placing prosthesis directly on the gum, which is very often the cause of discomfort, pain and bone degeneration. The Alpha-Bio implants ensure almost normal chewing. Thanks to implant insertion and construction of permanent bridge we may have the same feeling like with own teeth.

Toothlessness (prosthesis)

A prosthesis is an uncomfortable replenishment of natural teeth. The cause discomfort during eating, they move and sometimes even fall out. They are the reason of bone atrophy, and their efficiency during chewing is less than 40%. Two to four implants with the special connection can provide good stabilization of prosthesis, ensuring comfort and reliability during chewing and speaking.

Toothlessness (bridge)

Reconstruction with the use of full, permanent bridge, 6 or more implants can be an excellent base for reconstruction of full tooth arch. Such solution guarantees comfort and excellent visual effect.

What are implants?

Shortly speaking we can say that they are artificial roots, based on which teeth crowns are rebuilt. Implants are a special prosthetic supplement due to few reasons:

One should not be afraid of implants – placing them in is not more troublesome than tooth extraction. During the first stage the doctor inserts the implant to the bone, sutures the site of procedure and waits several months until the implant „grows into” the tooth. When it happens it is possible to rebuilt the prosthetic crown or place the prosthesis. There are a lot of indications to use the implants: from missing of single tooth up to total lack of teeth. The treatment schedule depends on patient’s own needs, doctor’s decision and financial abilities. Often patients who decide to undergo the implant therapy find out in the doctor’s office that it is not possible due to small amount of bone tissue or other unfavorable local conditions. In our clinic we deal with such situations through the use of special procedures which stimulate the bone growth.

Tooth implant is actually an additional tooth root made of pure Titanium, placed in the bone tissue. The period of implant healing is 3 months. After this time it is possible to rebuilt the tooth crown. In order to insert the implant the doctor needs a specific amount of bony tissue. Right now we have access to some surgery methods and preparations, which allow the reconstruction of missing bone. The bone reconstruction procedures and sinus plasty (elevation of sinus) are a part of everyday practice in our Clinic.
